A Life in Music, the Final World Tour of the celebrated tenor José Carreras started successfully in 2016 with a sold-out concert at the Royal Albert Hall, London. New York was selected personally by Jose Carreras for his long anticipated return to America:
“New York has always held a special place in my heart, and Carnegie Hall is one of my all-time favorite places to perform. I look forward to returning to America and singing this wonderful selection of songs & arias that have meant so much to me throughout my life in music.”

The Three Tenors concerts that brought together José Carreras with his colleagues
Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti are now legendary. Followed by international audiences of over two billion, they have created an unprecedented impact in the world of opera.
In 1987, José was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and given a 1 in 10 chance of survival. Following an extensive course of treatment, he made a full recovery and has since established the José Carreras International Leukemia Foundation which began in Barcelona and now has branches in the United States, Switzerland and Germany.
Currently, in partnership with the public administration, the José Carreras International Leukemia Foundation has embarked upon a historic and unprecedented project in Barcelona: the first Spanish research center to focus exclusively on leukemia and other blood related diseases, and one of the only such centers in the world.
