Finding the Stadium

Villa Park, Birmingham, B6 6HE

Contact THE STADIUM

0121 327 2299

Villa Park is situated in residential areas that do not allow for parking.

Please plan your journey and give yourself the best chance to ensure your enjoyment of the concert is not overshadowed by your travel. A Traffic Exclusion Zone is applied around the stadium throughout the day, so it is important you know where you are going before you set off.

Put simply, if you jump in your car, set Villa Park in your sat nav and set off you will encounter an extremely long and difficult trip.

There is advice on public transport options and traveling by car.

All concert attendees are strongly encouraged to plan your travel to and from the stadium in advance as it will be extremely busy.

  • Parking at the stadium is not available. There are numerous parking sites within a 45-minute walk (or less) of the stadium. However, the capacity of these car parks will not be sufficient for all those looking to park. Once all parking sites are filled, the next alternative is to use the City Centre to park, and then use public transport, taxi, Uber or our official shuttle bus services operating from Dudley Street (near to New Street Station) to get to Villa Park. Please leave in plenty of time to allow for a journey to park and access the venue from the City Centre.

The official car parks supporting the concert are not centrally controlled. There are various third parties who operate these sites, but all the ones listed in this document are known to be reputable and operate parking responsibly.

There are two third parties who offer parking to be purchased in advance:

    EST

    Countrywide

There are variations in prices, some can be purchased in advance (links provided), and some are payable by cash only on the day as they are operated independently by the site themselves. Advice will be given from these car parks on how to find your car post-concert (believe us we get asked!) and the best junction to head for post-concert to get back to the major road network.

    Directional advice

Pre & post-concert it is vital you ignore your satnav. If at any point you get off the motorway network and then travel past the stadium your journey will be a slow and difficult one, particularly post-concert. For example, if you exit at junction 6 of the M6, stay south and park south of the stadium.

If you have booked your parking in advance, make sure you know which is the best route from the motorway network to access your car park. If you are looking to pay on the day, then ensure you follow the directional advice below and aim for the associated car parks listed as accessible from these exits.

What junction should I use from the motorway network?

If you are traveling from the Northwest (M6) or the Southwest corridor (M5), we strongly advise you exit the M6 at junction 7, use the A34 towards Birmingham City Centre and use the car parks located north of the stadium.

The car parks to use from M6 junction 7 are as follows:

A1 - Perry Barr Stadium (Independent)

A2 - Holdford Drive Site (Countrywide book on-line)

A3 - Prince Albert School (Countrywide book on-line)

A4 - Holdford Drive Sports Hub (EST book on-line)

A5 - Winners Chapel International Birmingham (EST pay on the day)

    A6 - Beeswift (EST book on-line)

A7 - Birmingham Wholesale Market (EST book on-line)

    A8 - The Marigold (Independent)

A9 - Birchfield Community School (Countrywide book on-line)

If you are traveling from the Northeast, use the A38 from Derby which will bring you to Salford Circus (junction 6 of the M6).

If you are traveling from the Southeast (M6) we strongly advise you exit at junction 6 of the M6. Dependent on what car park you are planning on using, there are two options for exit at junction 6. Take the A38M to the City Centre and take the first exit on to Park circus or use Salford Circus to head towards Villa Park on the Lichfield Road.

The car parks to use from Salford Circus are as follows:

    B1 - Birmingham Powerleague (Independent)

    B2 - Y International (EST book on-line)

The car parks to use from Park Circus are as follows:

C1 - Aston Manor School (Countrywide pay on the day)

C2 - Aston Tower School (Countrywide pay on the day)

C3 - Aston United Reform Church (Countrywide pay on the day)

C4 - King Edward School (EST book on line)

C5 - Sertec Limited (EST book on line)

Please click here to see a map of the known official parking sites.

    Accesible parking

Those who have booked accessible seating in the Trinity Road Stand, would be advised to book in the Villa Village/North Stand car park. If seated in the Doug Ellis, we would advise booking Yew Tree Community school or the Coach Park, due to ease of access. If you have purchased tickets in the Holte End, we would suggest booking online via Aston Villa Parking, alternatively in the Villa Village/North Stand car park. However, this would be a 5-10 walk.

    Accessible Parking Locations

There are 3 accessible parking locations, please inform the operator of your access requirements, as some parking spaces in the Villa Village only have extra space at the back or side of the vehicle.

Pre-bookable parking is available in the following zones:

Villa Village – Situated at the back of the North Stand. (B6 6QZ)

Yew Tree Community School – Situated on Village Road, 250 yards from the Doug Ellis Stand (B6 6RB)

Coach Park – Situated on the Witton Lane, 100 Yards from Doug Ellis Stand. (B6 6QZ)

Please noted that Trinity Road and Witton Lane will be closed at 1pm on Concert day, accessible parking will be via Witton road entrance for North Stand. Accessible / Coach car parking will be via Witton Square. Also, post-event, you will be required to wait for up to 1 hour before being able to exit. These restrictions are in place due to road closures in the surrounding area.

For all car parks, please have your car park ticket ready for inspection as you approach the stadium as your ticket and blue badge will be checked on entry.

Once parked, please display your blue badge and parking ticket on your dashboard.

For further assistance, please contact the Ticket Office on 0333 323 1874 selecting option 1 at the menu or via email on accessibility@avfc.co.uk.

  • Villa Park is not a venue where pre-concert Drop-off and post-concert Pick-up is feasible. We would strongly advise all those attending the concert to avoid drop-off and pick-up in the direct vicinity of Villa Park. The local road network will be extremely congested (particularly post-concert).

  • The club are providing an additional transport opportunity for concert attendees having to use the City Centre for parking.

Pre-concert, shuttle bus services will run from Dudley Street (near New Street Station) starting at 4pm. Buses will then depart at 10-minute intervals, with the final service leaving at 7.30pm. The buses will drop fans at Aston Hall across the road from Villa Park.

Post-concert, shuttles will run from Aston Hall starting at 6pm. Again, buses will depart at 10-minute intervals, with the final service leaving at midnight. All services will shuttle fans back to Dudley Street.

Marshalls will be on hand to ensure passengers access the services safely both at the City Centre and Aston Hall.

The service is priced at £5 one way - £10 return.

To purchase shuttle bus tickets in advance click here.

Shuttle bus tickets can also be purchased on the day at either end of the service.

  • Pre-concert, Taxi’s or Ubers should be easily obtained from the City Centre and the journey to the stadium relatively straight forward.

Post-concert, it is more difficult for vehicles to navigate their way through the trafiic congestion.

A Taxi rank will be in operation at Aston Parish Church (adjacent to the stadium).

If you are being picked up post-concert, it is vital that you have a pre-arranged collection point with the driver away from the stadium.
