Elton John today announces a further 2020 arena date to his colossal Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour. A sixth date has been added at London’s The O2 on December 14th due to unprecedented demand. The news of the new date comes as the tour nears its 100th show in Lille tomorrow (18th June), and by the time he has played Paris on June 20th, over 1.5 million people will have seen the show since it began in September.

Tickets for the shows will be on sale from 10am on Friday 21st June. Eligible American Express Cardmembers can take advantage of priority booking from 10am on Wednesday 19th June 2019. Visit axs.com/amexpresale to book. T&Cs apply.

Speaking of the UK dates Elton John says “This tour will take me to a lot of places that hold a special place in my heart, but the UK shows will be amongst the highlights of the entire tour. The UK is where my heart is, and it will always be home. To get the opportunity to celebrate some of the incredible moments we’ve shared over the years with my British fans will be very special indeed. These homecoming shows will be emotional, but a lot of fun.”

Kicking off in the U.S. in September, the ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour has already been greeted with a wealth of praise from critics and fans alike. The three year tour will consist of more than 350 shows across five continents, hitting North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Australasia before reaching its conclusion in 2021. These dates mark the superstar’s last-ever tour and the end of half a century on the road for one of pop culture’s most enduring performers. Elton’s new stage production will take his fans on a musical and highly visual journey spanning a 50-year career of hits like no one has ever seen before.
