Steps are well and truly back! After announcing their return just one week ago to celebrate their 20th Anniversary, they have released their new single Scared Of The Dark to rapturous response, topped the iTunes singles chart, performed on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and sold out several of their UK tour dates.
Today they continue the good run of news with the announcement that, due to phenomenal demand, they are adding five extra dates to their Party On The Dancefloor UK & Ireland arena tour. The extra dates will take place in Belfast, Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool and Glasgow (full dates below) and will go on sale on Thursday at 9am, with a pre-sale starting tomorrow. Tickets for the 20-date tour can be purchased from axs.com and ticketmaster.co.uk.
The five-piece, consisting of Claire Richards, Lee Latchford-Evans, Faye Tozer, Ian ‘H’ Watkins and Lisa Scott-Lee, released their riotous, bombastic single Scared Of The Dark last week and within a few hours it had knocked Ed Sheeran off the top of the iTunes chart. The track is the first taster of Tears On The Dancefloor, their new album out April 21st.
The band have scored fourteen consecutive top 5 singles, sold over 20 million records and reached Number One with three albums and three singles. They are BRIT award winning and hold the record for the most consecutive sold-out nights at Wembley.
