Country singer-songwriter Sarah Darling starts her UK tour next week, and she has just announced guest Gary Quinn will join her in Manchester.

Northern Irishman Gary Quinn has become one of British country music’s more established performers. A five time British Country Music Association Awards winner, his fans include Kristina Bush of Sugarland who called Gary “wonderful”.

Sarah Darling will be previewing songs from upcoming album ‘Wonderland’ as she tours the UK, her home-away-from-home.

Sarah said, “I’m so excited to be returning to the UK to share my new music. Doubly excited since many of the tracks on ‘Wonderland’ are “made in the UK” with UK co-writers and producers! Britain has a special place in my heart, and the audiences have always been so warm and welcoming.”

The USA’s most talked-about conductor and orchestra meet a giant of jazz when Herbie Hancock and the LA Philharmonic, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, visits the Barbican on Tuesday 19 November.

Tickets go on sale March 5 at 10AM.

No classical music-lover needs to be told about Gustavo Dudamel, and what he represents: just as every jazz fan knows Herbie Hancock. Tonight, two artists whose careers have been defined by an open-minded willingness to collaborate – and communicate – perform live with the LA Phil.

‘You never stop learning, you never stop improving, if you keep your mind open’ says Hancock – words that could have come straight out of the mouth of Gustavo Dudamel. But as ever with Dudamel’s collaborative projects, there’s more going on here than a one-night stand. He’s chosen to open the concert with music by two innovative figures in contemporary Latin American classical music before Hancock and his quartet join the LA Phil for a full-length set.

Sarah Darling announces guests for Wonderland shows in London & Manchester

SarahDarling_2019_2560x1200.jpg

Country singer-songwriter Sarah Darling who tours the UK this March, will be joined by Liv Austen (London) and Laura Oakes (Manchester) it was announced today.

Liv Austen is the artist who came to London for the drama, but stayed for the music. That she made the right decision is turning into quite an understatement.

The Norwegian-born singer-songwriter arrived in the UK in 2010 to study acting, before finding her voice as one of the hottest new properties on the music scene.

The rave reviews that greet Austen's every gig has been echoed by similar acclaim for the 2018 debut album, ‘A Moment of Your Time’

Laura Oakes love for Dolly Parton and the Dixie Chicks may seem an unusual music taste for a teenager from Liverpool, but in her teenage years Laura really started to embrace her influences performing anywhere and everywhere.

A visit to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville at the age of 18 proved to be an overwhelming and life defining experience, driving her to realise her dream of writing and singing country music.

2018 saw Laura return to Nashville to co- write with some of the world’s greatest songwriters. Now back in the UK armed with a bundle of fabulous songs ready to perform to hungry audiences and releasing new music.

P!nk honoured with Hollywood Walk of Fame star

P!nk_WoF_2560x1200.jpg

Yesterday saw P!nk honoured with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On accepting the award she said:

“This is surreal. It has been a trip lately thinking back over the course of this career I’ve somehow managed to have. I signed my first record deal 23 years ago," said the Grammy-winning artist to the crowd watching her accept the honour.

"I have achieved exactly what I wanted to achieve. Because I always knew what my strong points were. I don’t sell sex, I don’t sell perfume, I’m not the prettiest, I’m not the best. I’m f–king hard-looking and I have enough talent and I work on my f–king craft and I put my head down and I win. And I charge and I charge and I charge. And I don’t give up. So when I wasn’t selling records, I was still selling out arenas. I didn’t need to win any popularity contests; I wanted to be a f–king touring artist and I wanted to be great at what I did. And at almost 40 years old, I can say I’m great at what I do," she added.
