Herbie Hancock has today confirmed that his European summer tour has been postponed.

“Unfortunately, due to the continuing health and community concerns related to coronavirus and its resulting COVID-19 disease, we are no longer able to proceed with our plans to celebrate Herbie’s 80th Birthday with you, our fans in Europe this Summer. Ensuring the safety of our fans, crews, local staff and the musicians is of the utmost importance to us. Sadly, we must cancel all currently confirmed European appearances in 2020 for Herbie Hancock.

Herbie and the band look forward to 2021, when we are able to celebrate a return to health and wellness with everyone in Europe and we are currently hard at work to make that a reality. Details for 2021 are not ready to be shared yet, but we plan to return to many of the areas that we had originally planned to visit this Summer.

We are sorry to share this news with our fans, but we ask that everyone stay safe, stay inside, and stay masked up so that we can all get back to doing what we love safely as soon as possible. Thanks for your understanding.”
