Sarah Darling announces UK tour around March London date

sarahdarling_2018_2560x1200.jpg

Following her opening slots for chart toppers Ward Thomas, touring the UK with her own  “Night in Nashville” shows, and performing at the C2C: Country to Country festival (2016 & 2017), Sarah Darling announces her biggest UK headline tour to date.  On this 12 show tour, the BCMA Awards ‘International Touring Artist of the Year’ nominee will be performing songs from her three studio albums – including the acclaimed 2017 release ‘Dream Country’ (which was named album of the year by ‘Your Life In A Song’) – and previewing songs from her forthcoming 2018 album.

Looking forward to the tour Sarah says “I am so excited to return to the UK for a release party of sorts!  My newest single is scheduled to release on March 2nd, and I cannot wait to celebrate with my UK fans.”

Sarah previewed some new material from the upcoming album during her sold out Christmas concert at St Pancras’ Church last December – where she also revealed she has been working with Mark Bright, the producer responsible for some of the greatest albums by Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire among many others. Included on the Christmas setlist, and sure to be performed on this upcoming tour, was a track co-written with Ward Thomas and another, "Angel Wings", which was described by W21 Music as “a song that we should all be singing around a fire in an Irish bar, as if it was already a classic,” in their glowing live review of the show. Sarah’s intimate performances are definitely not one to miss.

For one of the brightest new stars in the country music scene, the sky really is the limit.

We had witnessed and not for the first time for some in the crowd a fabulous artist, amazing singer whose honesty and emotion shines through

They have continued their sensational run of hit singles in 2017 with smashes such as 'Touch', 'No More Sad Songs', 'Power' and 'Reggaeton Lento (Remix)'.

GUN release new single 'Boy Who Fooled The World'

Gun_2560x1200.jpg

GUN have today released a new version of album highlight ‘Boy Who Fooled The World’, the latest single taken from their acclaimed top 20 album ‘Favourite Pleasures’, which gave the band their highest UK chart position in over 20 years.  The B-side is ‘Tragic Heroes’, also taken from the album, and already another Planet Rock playlist.

Drowned In Sound – “Now finding themselves hitting new heights of power and armed with a record that could go toe-to-toe with their peers of both yesterday and today, GUN are fully loaded and shooting to thrill.”

Planet Rock Magazine – “An album teaming with hooky riffs and memorable pop-rock choruses”

Classic Rock Magazine - 4/5 “Here’s a dare: play this album and remain unmoved.”

Metal Talk – 10/10 “Make no mistake, Gun are back, fully loaded and they are taking on the world once again”

Gigslutz - “Gun are back and firing out their best stuff in years!”

Here’s what frontman Dante had to say about the song, which has been updated with a fresh orchestral backing, and thus now entitled “The G-String Mix”:

“Lyrically I wanted to write about how I got into music in first place. I began to reminisce about the past.  I remember finishing up school on a Friday afternoon, having this religious schedule. Sitting down to watch Cheers, before finding a blank cassette, turning on the radio and listening to the Friday Rock Show with Tommy Vance from 10pm, then Tom Russell's Rock show from midnight. I'd listen to songs that they'd play and in the first 10 seconds I'd decide if the song was worth recording from the intro alone.

“Some songs I remember recording were ‘Run To You’ (Bryan Adams), ‘Boys Of Summer (Don Henley), ‘Why Can't This Be Love’ (Van Halen) and ‘We Built This City’ (Jefferson Starship), to name but a few. I did this religiously every Friday night and then at the weekend, I'd play the songs to my friends. They’d ask me how I’d managed to get these songs. I didn't say much at the time. I felt like if I let them hear these songs for the first time, that I was the main guy that introduced them to the music I was into. It almost became personal, like I’d written the songs myself. It's nice to think that this was one of my first introductions to music.”

‘Favourite Pleasures', GUN’s seventh studio album, stands proudly alongside the very best of their work. Informed by a back-to-basics approach tempered by an innate sense for melody, the record was made in the band's own Morse Code studios in Paisley. It's an album that dances on a knife-edge, one that can turn on a single note from the raw pain of emotions hitting the rocks, to an unbridled celebration of hedonism.
